The NHL Draft has delivered yet again hockey’s biggest and most talented recruits. Draft talk has flooded social media platforms and fan message boards debating who is better than who and who has the best shot. With so many talented players taking the league by storm, there are just a handful that have the proven ability to be the best. Here are three of hockey’s biggest recruits for 2018:

Andrei Svechnikov

Svechnikov is a magnet for scoring goals. As a player for the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League, he is tied for eighth-best among OHL skaters. During the 2017-18 season, he scored 40 goals and 72 points which makes him one of the biggest recruits for 2018. But it isn’t just his incredible scoring ability that has him raking at the top. His puck control and skating ability has set him apart from the pack.He now plays for the Carolina Hurricanes.

Rasmus Dahlin

As Svechnikov’s biggest rival, Dahlin has been heating up on the ice this season. Originally from Sweden, he now plays for the Buffalo Sabres. During the 2017-18 season, Dahlin is a ruthless defender with skills in offense and on the defensive side of the puck. His physical play is one for the history books as he has been described as the “brick wall” of defense. Many players won’t even know what hit them when Dahlin hits the ice.

Filip Zadina

Another player taking control of the game is Zadina. He began playing in the Czech Republic and now shoots for the Grand Rapids Griffins. As a real team player, during the 2017-18 season he was able to score 44 goals and adding 38 assists. He is more than just a skilled sniper. In all of his games he is able to create zone entries and has the ability to make his own open space to take his shot. Zadina is definitely a force to be reckoned with on the ice.

With so many talented players taking the ice by storm and making the game their own, this will be a promising season for all NHL fans.
